Tatum Tiernagan

Tatum did an excellent developmental edit on Part I of my manuscript, Wolves of Eden. I found her through the EFA after posting that I needed guidance on my plot points as an untrained author. Of all the editors who sent sample edits, hers were by far the most insightful.

Her in-manuscript comments were thorough and precise—she caught every unclear or misleading moment and offered practical solutions. She also provided a detailed chapter-by-chapter report outlining where restructuring, rewriting, and deeper world-building were needed. In addition, she highlighted where each character’s moral and psychological motivations needed to be strengthened, which was an invaluable learning experience for me as a writer.

I asked Tatum to be brutally honest, and she delivered thoughtful, constructive feedback while also recognizing what was already working in the manuscript. Her edit was noticeably more thorough than others I received, even from editors with decades of experience, which showed how deeply she engages with the story.

I would highly recommend her. Her feedback felt like having another version of my own mind critically examining the work. Because of that experience, I hired her again to edit Part II—so there will definitely be another review from me.
